Help End Hair Discrimination in the Workplace, Schools, and Pools

Currently, it is legal to discriminate against a person in the workplace, schools, and/or pools because of their natural or protective hairstyle in all states except for California, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Colorado, Washington, Maryland, Connecticut, Delaware, New Mexico, Nebraska, Nevada, Oregon, Illinois, Maine, Tennessee, and Louisiana. Hair discrimination remains a source of racial injustice with serious economic consequences for Black people. The CROWN Act corrects these racial injustices by making hair discrimination illegal.

Commemorate Juneteenth

The following have been compiled by steering committee members for the Bucks County Anti-Racism Coalition, the Hunterdon County Anti-Racism Coalition, and Hopewell Valley Together. We have included only those events that actively encourage attendance from people of all racial and ethnic backgrounds, but we do ask that particularly our white members please take some time to learn more about this holiday and consider appropriate ways to commemorate it before attending any events.
