Giving Tuesday
Giving Tuesday is coming up on November 27th. As a counter-point to Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday is a global day for collective giving intended to help create a better world. At Grace we believe that the best way to create a better world is to seriously follow God’s directive to “Love thy neighbor as thyself.”
Grace strives to live our commitment to “Love thy neighbor” in meaningful ways by providing assistance and support to numerous families in our congregation and the wider community. We have helped families keep the roof overhead, the lights on, and the heat working. We have put food on numerous tables, and helped people without transportation get where they needed to go. Through our Pennies & Nickles program and our child and elder sponsorships Grace has spread love beyond our immediate community.
If you choose Grace as a recipient for your Giving Tuesday gifts this year you can feel confident that the funds will be used to put God’s love into action for our community, and beyond.
Interfaith Thanksgiving Service & Pot Luck Dinner
“What a wonderful ecumenical Thanksgiving service last night at Grace with members of two Jewish communities, the Islamic Center of Hunterdon County, Lutherans, Methodists, Episcopalians, Unitarians, Presbyterians, and more. A truly uniting experience! We need more of this!” - Duncan Taylor, Grace UCC Member.
United Way Coat Drive 2018
Another fantastic coat drive by the Hunterdon County YMCA; held at the United Way Community Center!
The annual coat drive began with Hunterdon Hispanos, and was hosted by Grace UCC for its first several years. As such, this event holds a special place in our hearts. It is our pleasure to participate in this event every year, and it gives us great satisfaction to see how many county residents it serves.
“It was a particularly special privilege and honor for me to help with this cost drive this year. WE ARE ONE! WE ARE LOVE!” - Bill Taylor
