On October 21, 2021, millions will go purple to stand against bullying and in support of LGBTQ youth.
Volunteer with Hunterdon Helpline
Hunterdon Helpline needs volunteers for a variety of programs, but especially for the elderly visitor initiative as well as the personal shopper program. You can make a big impact with just a few hours a week.
Support LGBTQ+ people by joining TikTok Stand in Families on Facebook
Unfortunately, many LGBTQ+ people are either rejected by their families, or need to end contact with their families for their own well-being. You can help by being a “stand-in” family member for events like weddings, graduations, etc. Or join the group if you are LBGTQ+ and would like stand-in family support.
Got extra yarn? The Library wants it!
Shared by Marianne Fimble:
Hunterdon County Library is collecting yarn that volunteers will knit into hats, scarves etc for people who need them. Please drop off any yarn you have at home or yarn you buy at the library. If you can knit, you can pick up yarn there and create! Contact the library directly for more information.
