Six week Course on Systemic Racism

Attached is a flyer with details about "Race Talk" -- the upcoming 6-week online course on systemic racism, being offered to members of the New Jersey Association by Dr. Kirk Johnson, who has been approved for ordination within our Association.

The course, which starts on March 9th, will focus on the ways that racism is perpetuated in American society and will incorporate theological as well as historical perspectives.

Emergency Summit: America besieged by racism, materialism, and militarism.

The Quincy Institute is convening a virtual roundtable of eminent public intellectuals to reflect on the ways that America’s unrelenting militarism, as well as materialism, and racism – identified by MLK in his speech “Beyond Vietnam” in 1967 as the ‘giant triplets’ – combined and contributed to the events of January 6. 

Help Distribute Blessing Boxes

The Harvest Family Success Center is seeking volunteers to assist in distributing Blessing Boxes on a monthly basis. Families come to the center and pick up a box of meat, dairy and produce to help stretch their grocery budgets. Volunteers assist with the registration desk, help seniors to their cars with the boxes (boxes weight approximately 25 lbs). Drivers with minivans and SUVs are also needed to pick up the boxes from New Hope or Lambertville area. All volunteer opportunities are outdoors and socially distanced. Masks required.
