Help Provide COVID19 Relief to Undocumented Families

During this global health crisis, undocumented and immigrant communities are particularly at risk. In times of need, undocumented families don't have access to basic necessities like health insurance, paid sick leave, and unemployment.

This means that immigrant workers laid off from work because of COVID-19 or quarantining at home may not have enough money to buy food and pay rent, utilities, and other monthly bills. Cosecha's Undocumented Worker Fund will redistribute your donation directly to immigrants impacted by the current crisis.

Help a local family in crisis

Jose Alex Cortes passed away two days before Thanksgiving following a lengthy battle with brain cancer. Until before Glioblastoma's diagnosis in July, Joseph was the only bread winner for his sons Alex, Nathan and for Nora his wife. Roberto, Cesar and Esther, his eldest children are doing what they can to help, but it hasn't been easy.

Jose was a respected memeber of the community, very active with La Liga de Futbol de Flemington, and in his church. He was known for being someone who would always reach out a hand to help others, and now it is his own family who need our help.

Support Reproductive Freedom

unnamed.jpg

The Reproductive Freedom Act (S3030/A4848) is ground-breaking legislation that will protect the right to abortion care for everyone in New Jersey and expand access to critical reproductive health services, especially for historically marginalized communities. Take Action NOW to help us ensure the RFA is brought before the Senate Health Committee as soon as possible. We need you to call Senate President Steve Sweeney (856-251-9801, 856-339-0808) and Senator Vitale, Chair of the Senate Health Committee (732-855-7441) and ask them to put the RFA on the committee schedule.

Sample Script: Hi. My name is X and I live in X. I am calling today to urge [Senate President Sweeney OR Senator Vitale] to move the Reproductive Freedom Act - Bill number S3030 - and ensure it is heard in the Health Committee as soon as possible. It is critical now more than ever that we protect and expand access to reproductive health care, including abortion in New Jersey. Thank you.

TELL ICE: STOP THE DEPORTATION OF CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES

Twenty-eight children and their families who have been held in indefinite detention are facing imminent deportation any day now. Many have been detained for nearly a year-and-a-half. None of these families has been allowed to request asylum in accordance with US and international law, and they would be sent back to danger if they are returned to the countries of origin.

We must stop these deportations and ensure these families their right to seek asylum. ICE has the power and obligation to stop this injustice, and not send families back to the very situations they fled from.
