Our morning study group is reading:

All of the Women of the Bible by Edith Deen.

Our latest study, relying on Edith Deen's "All the Women of the Bible" looks both backward and forward. Does Deen's exhaustive anthology leave anyone out? How do her interpretations hurt some and benefit others? Does she support patriarchy and capitalism in her own way?

Join us as we read this 1955 book alongside more contemporary feminist biblical scholarship. See where we've been and consider where we're going while learning to be a "critical reader" of the original texts in the bible.
