"CAN" HELP: 

ED DID IT!  Ed announced we "can/ did this" at Grace UCC.  Over $1,200.00 was raised in 2010 by simply saving those aluminum cans!  With that money oil was purchased for those who neede help to keep their homes warm and to be able to cook their food. Keep saving and crushing those cans (and whatever else is made of aluminum) and bring them to church on Sunday...

On numerous occasions, individuals and families from the community approach the church for help.  Many times we "can help" but other times we ask each other "how can we help"?  What a great question and one we need to ask of ourselves and of our church community on a regular basis.

In response, Ed Fimbel has started a program called "CAN HELP".  The idea of this program is for each of us to save our aluminum cans and bring them to church on Sunday (hopefully crushed).  There will be a couple of rubber trash cans in the back of the office (18 Court St.) where the cans can be stored until Ed picks them up.

With the aluminum scrap, Ed will generate needed money for Grace UCC to be better able to help the community.  What a great program that will help not only those in need but will help the environment too!  For more information, contact Ed at emfim3@yahoo.com.
